Things to Remember
Important Notes:
- Eyelash extensions are to be applied to one natural lash only (never to more than one)
- You should only extend a natural lash with an extension that is a maximum 3/4mm If you over-extend the natural lash, it can result in damage to the lash and premature lash loss.
- Never allow the eyelash extension to be glued to the eyelid, always 1-2mm from skin.
- Ensure that you have chosen eyelash extensions that suit the natural curl and direction of the client’s own lashes.
- Stretch skin in inner corners to access the small lashes, and always use short (7,8,9mm).
- If volume lashing and having to utilise some of the baby lashes, always use a shorter extension by 1-2mm then what your lash map might state as they are fragile.
- Lash placement will vary dependent on the NL. It can be placed on the top side or bottom of the NL. To ensure maximum bonding the base of the extension must be attached, if not it can easily be pulled off whilst brushing the lashes.
- When applying applying align your body so your hand and wrist are angled in such a way that the lashes will sit in the right direction. You can also draw arrows on the eyepad of the direction In which you would like the lash extension to sit. E.g – if you want to flare out the outer corners you can angle the lashes slightly out instead of straight (towards ear).
- remember to practice good sanitation and hygiene for each client
- Use Policies and procedure forms to keep client records, and to ensure clients understand and agree to your policies so there is no confusion.
